Annemarie made this large paper mache vase from old packing boxes that were left over from the big CPM HQ move. It looks great with a bunch of dried grasses and twigs in it. It's fairly simple to make too.
Annemarie was experimenting with different ways to make vases using balloons when she came up with this idea. We called it the flower vase - I know, we're so inventive with our names, aren't we:)
It needed lots of layers of paper to take the weight of the sand it's decorated with. This is in a private collection and is filled with dried grasses and flowers which looks very effective.
The Zebra Pot was created using an old CD and a football.This was also an experiment as regards decoration. We had a couple of surprises but it turned out well in the end.
I really enjoyed making this one despite the hassle we had decorating it. It was created to look like it was made from wooden panels. I think we did a good job of getting that effect as someone actually asked if it was made from antique wood.
We called this one the Distressed Pot because the finish gives it a slightly worn out look.The effect is very easy to create and we got a lot of favourable comments on it when we exhibited it at a craft show.
