Paper Mache Surfboard

This paper mache surfboard makes an excellent notice board for our sticky Post-It notes.

Paper Mache Surfboard

We've both always loved the ocean and water sports and one day I decided to make a life-sized surfer crashing down a wave coming out of the living room wall.

Needless to say, it was one of my more impractical ideas. Annemarie reminded me that, even if I did manage to make it, I would never get it out of the door when I moved out (I tend to move house quite often.)

Anyway, I had part of the surfboard built by the time I gave up on the idea so I decided to finish it and then find a use for it.

It now leans up against the lounge wall and serves as the perfect notice board for my little sticky reminders.

We came over all South African because of the World Cup so we decided to paint it like our flag.
