Paper Mache Pulp Bowl

Paper Mache Pulp Bowl

This paper mache pulp bowl was really easy to make and you can find the instructions in our projects section.

We used a large, fairly shallow, plastic bowl as a mould and some nice fine paper mache pulp to make the bowl.

We wanted to try something a bit different to decorate this one and we had managed to get hold of some blue aquarium gravel. We decided to see if the gravel would actually glue onto the pulp.

We kept this bowl in our own collection, just to be sure the gravel wouldn't come off. It's still in use as Annemarie's fruit bowl and so far she's only lost a couple of her marbles pebbles.

Having said that we didn't actually varnish this piece, so a coat or two of polyurethane may have prevented this.
