Will a Paper Mache Ideas Book Suit Your Style of Working?

My paper mache ideas book comes to my rescue all the time. I often used to wake up in the middle of the night with a brilliant idea, fall sleep again then wake up in the morning having completely forgotten what it was.

My disorganised brain didn't have the good grace to forget that I'd had an idea though. Oh no, I knew I'd had one but, try as I might, there was no getting it back.

Well, eventually I woke up to the fact that I needed something to remind me, so I got my book.

Sounds great hey? Just carry a small notebook everywhere I go and I never need to miss an idea again. I wish it was that simple. I do have a notebook and it works wonders. But I also have three others and I still find myself jotting notes on pieces of paper all over the house.

I'm a Post-It note fiend, they're everywhere. So when it comes to finding the brilliant idea I know I wrote down, I end up turning the place upside down.

The solution?

I turned my ideas book into an ideas file. It's a simple A5 ring-binder with plastic sleeves. That way I can be as disorganised artistic as I like (I just work better that way) but at the end of the day I gather up all of my notes and the pages from my books and put then into a dated sleeve in the binder.

It works like a charm without me having to root round for the 'right' book when inspiration strikes.
