Paper Mache Artist - David Farrer

Paper mache artist, David Farrer is one of our favourite PM sculptors. Having grown up in Africa Annemarie and I both have a deep love for the animals and nature of our continent.

David's mounted head sculptures not only look great but, with his use of recyclable materials like wire and paper, they also convey an environmental message. I love the way he decorates his pieces with printed slogans and images from newspapers and magazines.

I'm not sure what David's intentions are, but I've always seen his work as a bit of a dig at those big game hunters who feel the need to display the head of a corpse on their walls.

David's art conveys the beauty of nature, often in a quirky and humorous way.
