Issue #11, 1st May 2011

Hi there, and welcome to another issue of Trash to Treasure. You'll be pleased to know that Annemarie has now returned from her six months away in South Africa so, from next month, we should have better quality photos in the tutorials.

It's not just that I'm pretty rubbish at photography, it's also because she had the decent camera for her holiday snaps and left me to manage with my cell phone. Yes, I know, I really need to invest in a camera of my own.

Well, without further ado, let’s see what's been happening on planet CPM.

New on the site:

Rumpelpinkskin, the not so scary monster, is finished and he has a page of his own up in the sculpture gallery.

We also have a new addition to KidZone in the form of a Lego brick toy box.

Your Art:

This month we have this lovely Old African Lady from Bev, who is using her time while she is on sick leave to make beautiful art. We hope you get well soon Bev, but keep up the great work.

Sue has submitted a super 'Antique' Bowl which she made using recyclyed containers and paper mache.

And Xenubarb has uploaded her Rockfish who was made from her shredded paper. I just love him.

Thanks a lot for sharing your work with us. We love getting to see what fellow artists are making.

If you have any art you'd like to share, please feel free to upload it to the site by filling in the form in the Your Art section of CPM.

May's Project

Well, next month we will be half way through the year already. Now there's a scary thought.

But June also means it's Father's day so this month's project is a sweet container in the shape of a giant Liquorice Allsort. This one was really simple to make and it looks great. Fill it with his favourite goodies and I'm sure dad will love it.

Coming up...

As always, we'll have all of the latest news and what's new on the site. CPM is moving to new HQ in May so I'm a bit disorganised at the moment which means June's project is going to be a surprise.

Rest assured, there will definitely be a project - we just don't know what it will be yet.

Stay in touch on the Facebook fan page because I'll announce the new project on there as soon as we've decided what it will be.

Hope to see you again for next month's issue of the e-zine.

That's all for May's issue. I hope you'll join us again for the June edition of Trash to Treasure.

Until then, happy creating,

Karen and Annemarie
